Who We Are:

Since 1994, PenTeleData has been setting new standards in telecommunications and Internet technology. In the early days of dial-up Internet, our founders recognized the potential opportunities of a strategic partnership with cable providers and telephone companies of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Today, that partnership allows PenTeleData to provide virtually everything that is Internet and telecommunications-related, from high-speed connections to the communication solutions offered by our partners, who individually design and provide the latest in cable television and telephone service. We continue to work to stay ahead of the technology curve so our customers stay ahead of the competition.

We invite you to learn more about our partners-their services, community involvement and rich histories, dating back to 1948 and the birth of cable television in Northeastern Pennsylvania. They include Blue Ridge Communications, CATV Service Inc., Ironton Telephone Company, Service Electric Cable TV and Communications, Service Electric Cablevision and Service Electric Company.

With the extensive resources of these partners, the PenTeleData network was born:

  • Over $300 million invested in fiber optic infrastructure
  • Over 5,000 miles of fiber optic wiring deployed
  • 60 Points of Presence (PoPs) throughout Pennsylvania
    and New Jersey

In early 2005, PenTeleData launched a Wi-Fi Internet access solution, with a unique purpose: To provide wireless hotspot Internet access as an additional feature of our broadband Internet service, giving customers the ability to take their high-speed broadband Internet service with them on the road.

PenTeleData has engineered one of the largest, privately owned fiber optic networks in the nation with over 5,000 miles of fiber optic cabling. Running on high-speed lines, PenTeleData's 10 Gbps MPLS network with Intelligent Routing delivers Voice, Video, Data and Internet services throughout the region.
